New Online Giving Method

We had been using Pay Pal for our online giving, but now have switched to allow for more convenience and flexibility in your giving. Three kinds of offering are available: tithes, faith promises, and legacy commitments. Also, the methods by which to give have expanded. We now can receive Visa, Master Card, Debit cards and ACH transactions. Finally, you can setup your giving to be recurring. To give online, please follow the link on the left or click here.

Welcome to Bethany Assembly of God

Located at the crossroads of Main Street and Route 57 in Agawam, Massachusetts, Bethany is easy to find. Founded in 1905 as the Peace Chapel on Armory Street in Springfield, Massachusetts, the name of the church was officially changed to Bethany Assembly of God in 1954. After five building projects and expansions on Armory Street, and continued growth fueling the need for more space, the church moved to its present location in 1982. As God continues to call His children back to Himself, we have found the need to keep pushing out our walls. In 1997 the children's wing was added to help accommodate our vibrant children and youth departments. To God be the glory for all He has done and is doing here!

Throughout the year the church body offers much to the community, such as the Singing Christmas Tree presentation, which has been performed annually since 1974; the Passion Play and Lord's Last Supper presentations at Easter; a 50,000 egg Easter Egg Hunt for children of the surrounding communities (many parents have been witnessed having a great time too!); the July 4th Family Picnic and much, much more.

Bethany Assembly of God is a Pentecostal church affiliated with the Assemblies of God in Springfield, Missouri. We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is studied in all worship services, Sunday School and Adult Christian Education classes, and during times when the women, men, or other small groups meet together. God gives every believer spiritual gifts so that they can glorify Him and edify others. Bethany encourages everyone to put these gifts into practice by getting involved.
