Family Life

The Family Life Ministry is led by Pastor Peter Patterson and includes ministries like Celebrate Recovery, Benevolence, and the Christian Family Network, the active family ministry arm of Family Life Ministries.

The Christian Family Network is committed to cultivate and restore “oneness” in the Christian Family and to create a vibrant network for families to receive encouragement, guidance, and embrace the love of our Lord, Jesus Christ. With Jesus Christ as our cornerstone, CFN facilitates a variety of Christ centered gatherings, programs and events in an effort to fortify the Family Unit, create greater unity in the Body of Christ, and demonstrate God’s merciful love to unsaved.

DivorceCare & GriefShare Groups

We would like to extend an invitation to the community to attend our DivorceCare, DivoceCare4Kids, and GreifShare groups this spring.  Meetings will be on Wednesdays starting March 7, 2012 at 580 Main Street, in Agawam and will meet for 13 weeks; each session begins at 7:00 p.m.   There is a onetime cost of $15.00 (for materials only), but scholarships are available.

Each session of DivorceCare begins with the group viewing a videotape dealing with divorce issues. Some topics include: “What’s Happening to Me”, “The Road to Healing,” “Facing Your Anger,” “Facing Depression,” and “Facing Loneliness.” All topics essential to the recovery process are produced in an interesting format, featuring real life stories of people who have experienced separation and divorce.

DC4K, is a church-based program for children (ages 5-11) struggling with the hurt and pain of divorce and separation. Topics include: “What’s Happening to My Family”, “Facing My Anger”. “It’s Not My Fault”, “Forgiveness”, “Loving My Parents”. Space is limited to 10 children. Please call the church to register.

GriefShare is a program designed to provide ministry and education to those who have experienced loss in their lives. This group is sponsored by people who understand what someone goes through, when they lose a loved one and want to offer comfort & encouragement during this difficult time in their lives. Topics include: “The Season’s Of Grief”, “The Emotions Of Grief”, “Where Is God?”, “Growing Through Grief”.

Love Dare Video Series

You are invited to embark on a journey, one that can provide tremendous benefit for you, your spouse, and your life together. The Love Dare Video Series will challenge you to think differently, and as a result, to learn, stretch, and grow individually and as a couple as you dare to live a life of selfless, sacrificial love. We will be meeting in the Fireplace Room starting January 4, 7 p.m. to kick-off this 10-week Marriage Building – Marriage Defining Seminar. We would be so honored to experience it with you!
