JULY – AUGUST, 2010

Building A Strong Foundation

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self control; and to self control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. – 2 Peter 1:5-8

Sunday, 9:00 a.m.

INTO THE HEART OF GOD

“But you, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness”  Psalm 86:15 NIV.

Let’s take a look into the heart of God, the Creator of the universe and the Giver of life.  Get ready to dig deep into the soil of the Word of God and find the riches of His    character lining the pages of your Bible.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

When asked what was the greatest commandment, Jesus replied with these words, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind and love your neighbor as     yourself.”  All of the commandments of God can be found within the realization of this one.  This short summer     session will explore the love of God as seen for us, in us and through us.

Realizing His love for us – exercising our love for others:  Loving those who are closest to us and learning to love those who seem the furthest.

Come join us as we explore the depth, heights and widths of His love.

This class begins August 1 and ends August 29

Well, maybe not everything, but this class will inform you about a variety of developmental disabilities and give you the tools and strategies to best support these children in a Sunday School setting, empowering you to make a difference in a child’s life.

Seeing the child first and their cognitive/emotional challenges second is paramount in helping children be the best they can be.  This class is open to anyone interested in learning more about children with challenges and how best to support them in a loving and caring manner.  God’s door is open to all children; some children just need a little extra help.  A brochure with more information is available at the Hospitality Counter.
