HonorBound Missions Emphasis Breakfast

Saturday, October 17th, 8:00am – 10:00am join us for an international breakfast ($5 per person) and guest missionary Bill Prevette.

Our focus is children and youth at risk or better ‘in crisis’ – globally the statistics are sobering:

• Over half a billion children are struggling to survive on under $1 per day
• 250,000 children and young people are infected with HIV/AIDS every month
• 130 million children lack access to education and 246 million children are child labourers
• 8.4 million children are trapped in slavery, trafficking, debt bondage, prostitution, pornography and other illicit activities
• 500,000 young people under 18 are exploited as child soldiers and 30,000 children die each day from preventable diseases

We work to train, mobilize, recruit and equip churches, agencies and individuals who believe that ‘true religion is to care for the widow and orphan’. We are committed to proclaiming the Good News of the kingdom of God and working towards holistic transformation where youth and children are oppressed or in need.

The Prevettes worked in Romania from 2002-2007. Bill served as the Romanian country moderator, helped start Teen Challenge and continued international efforts to assist children and youth. His ministry also included training leaders and teaching in seminaries and bible schools. He states, ‘my objective is to mentor and equip emerging leaders, training them to advance the Kingdom of God while serving their churches and families. Local churches can be extremely effective in providing care for children who are suffering the effects of poverty and exploitation.’
