Join us on Sunday, December 7 at 5:00pm in Room 101 for our annual Cookies & Caroling Outreach. We will be decorating Christmas cookies and then we will go to the Six Corners neighborhood where we will carol door-to-door, giving each family some Christmas cookies, sharing the good news of Jesus’ birth, and inviting them to The Nativity Symphony, Bethany’s 40th Annual Singing Christmas Tree. After caroling, we will come back to the church and warm up with some apple cider, hot chocolate, and dessert.
You don’t need to sign-up if you want to come along, but if you would like to bring some undecorated sugar cookies for us to decorate, please call the church and ask for Linda, or leave a comment, including the number of cookies you will be bringing, on the Facebook event page. The more cookies the better!
If you are a current volunteer in any Nightlife Ministry, join us this Sunday night, November 9, in the Fireplace Room immediately following service for a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner. The Nightlife Leadership Team just wants a chance to thank you for all your hard work and ministry and to encourage you. We hope to see you there!
September 30 we will take a group to the Veritas Forum at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. Veritas Forums are events that engage students and faculty in discussions about life’s hardest questions and the relevance of Jesus Christ to all of life. Continue Reading
July 26 was our Party-in-the-Park outreach to the Six Corners Neighborhood in Springfield. We offered lunch, clothing, a basketball tournament, live music, games, face painting, and prayer to neighborhood residents as well as sharing the good news of Jesus with them. The afternoon was a success with a good response from the neighborhood. We had the opportunity to pray with many individuals throughout the day, give away Bibles, and six people responded by praying for salvation.
Thanks to all the volunteers who participated and everyone who prayed for the outreach. Please continue to pray for the neighborhood and those who gave their lives to Jesus as we follow up with them.
