Back the Upper Room

Bethany Assembly of God welcomes Rev. André van Zyl. André van Zyl is a native of South Africa who has been in  full-time ministry for more than twenty-six years now, is presently headquartered in Georgia as the Lord uses him greatly across the continental United States. God has given André a very strong prophetic word to the Church, and his ministry is accompanied by miracles, deliverances, healings, signs and wonders.

RFKC Golf Tournament

This year marks our 9th year of the Royal Family Kids’ Camp Golf Tournament and we are looking forward to making it the biggest and best year yet. Royal Family Kids Camp is for abused and neglected children, who are in the custody of the Department of Social Services. This will be our 14 th year of making a difference in the lives of children from the Pioneer Valley. The children who attend this camp are between the ages of 7 and 11.

Every year in our area, hundreds of children are removed from their homes and placed in the foster care system because of severe abuse or neglect. For these little ones, life has come to a dead end even before it has begun. Through participation in this tournament you can be a part of their cure. The outing will be July 24, 2010 at St. Anne’s Country Club.

During their time at camp the children participate in crafts, fishing, swimming and many other recreational and educational experiences. This week of camp provides for them the opportunity to experience life from a very positive perspective. They gain confidence not only in themselves but also from the adults who are caring for them during the camp.

Geron & Becky Davis

Geron and Becky Davis return to Bethany for a gospel concert this Sunday night. Writers of such songs as “Holy Ground”, “Send It On Down”, “Mercy Saw Me”, “Evermore”, “In The Presence Of Jehovah”, and countless others, Geron and Becky have touched millions around the world with their music. They are friends of the Bethany family, and we are delighted to have them return to minister to the Lord and to us. Far beyond their musical abilities and writing skills is a passion to worship the Lord, and we will all be blessed as we enter into worship with them this Sunday evening at 6pm.

Summer Bash 2010

2010 Summer Bash | Sunday, July 4th | 4pm – 8pm

Near the softball fields and under the Big Tent.

A picnic outreach event for EVERYONE to enjoy. Bring a friend to experience the excitement, and a dessert to share. The church will supply delicious hamburgers, hot dogs, potato chips, macaroni salad and water. If you want soda feel free to bring a 2 liter to share. Bring a comfy lawn chair if you want and get ready to have fun playing some games, listening to music or just sitting around talking.

The car and motorcycle show will be back with another buffalo soldiers salute with the sound of roaring engines.

The fun starts at 4 and the food will be served at 5.

Awake New England

This year’s Pentecost Rally will take place at Springfield Symphony Hall on Sunday, May 23, at 5pm. Admission is free, but a free-will offering will be taken. A few free parking spaces are available on the street. Covered discount parking is available at the I-91 South garage only. You will need “discount tickets,” which will be at the Hospitality Counter starting next Sunday (May 9).

Also, Everyone is invited to the Awake New England Prayer Event, taking place Friday, May 14 at 7:00pm, at Rushing Waters Assembly of God, 465 Granby Rd in Chicopee.

The Great Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday, April 3 (the day before Easter) at 10am, we have scheduled our annual Easter Egg Hunt, with an opportunity to minister to hundreds of children. Please be praying for this event and for the TNT Puppet Team as they prepare their message.  Also, volunteers and prizes are very much needed and will be very much appreciated. There are Easter Crosses on the white lattice in the main foyer with suggestions for prizes that you may wish to consider purchasing and donating.
