Bake Sale for Clean Water

Our Third-grade Sunday School class has taken on the challenge of raising funds for a “KHLORGEN 3000” water purification system. Many children and adults around the world suffer from diseases due to a lack of clean drinking water, something that we take for granted. This system will be placed in an orphanage in Tanzania. The orphanage feeds 2,000 meals per day to street children. The cost of the system is approximately $250. Our Sunday School children are making a difference! They are willing to tackle hard things for God. They will be having a BAKE SALE in the gymnasium between services next Sunday, March 14. Please support their efforts. You will enjoy their tasty treats and many orphans in Tanzania will enjoy clean water!
Easter Egg Hunt

Can you believe it? In less than one month Easter will be here! Saturday, April 3 (the day before Easter), we have scheduled our annual Easter Egg Hunt, with an opportunity to minister to hundreds of children. Please be praying for this event and for the TNT Puppet Team as they prepare their message. Also, volunteers and prizes are needed. God has blessed us with candy, but we do give away over 100 prizes and your help would be very much appreciated in this area. There are Easter Crosses on the white lattice in the main foyer with suggestions for prizes that you could donate. You can have a part in sharing the Good News of the eternal prize of everlasting life through faith in our “Risen Savior.”
Summer Camp Fundraiser
This year’s Yankee Candle Fundraiser (our effort to assist with District event expenses for Girls Ministry Clubs and for 2010 Summer Camp tuition) has already begun, but it’s not too late to get involved. This is a very easy and effective fundraiser. We are praying that many more will take advantage this year, enabling more of our children and youth to be blessed by these events. Last year’s effort was excellent, with 20 young people earning money towards camp and 51 girls going to their district events. Camp is a very powerful ministry; don’t let your child miss it.

Bethany Assembly of God is celebrating its 10th Annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 31, 3:00 – 5:30 pm.
This year’s festival, as in the past, will consist of food, inflatable games, face painting, balloons, small games, a hayride, the outstanding TNT puppet team, a delicious ‘Old Fashioned Cake Walk’, Laser Tag and with lots of fun for the whole family with kids up through 6th grade.
We are excited to be able to sponsor this event. It is open to the public admission charge is one can of non-perishable food item for the Best Life Food Ministry that reaches out to our neighboring community. Our food concession will be donating all proceeds to the Boys and Girls Missionary Crusade to help support missions efforts overseas.
Laser Tag will be $1 per person.
Face painting is always a high point of the evening and we’ve got some creative painters.
So slide the giant slide and bounce in the house and stretch that bungee cord and crawl through a fun mixed-up maze for all you are worth as you enjoy the other activities in between.
Then get set for an awesome production by our own ‘Gold Medal’ winning puppet team directed by Marilene Allen. You haven’t seen anything until you’ve seen their ‘Blacklight’ puppetry. The TNT team has been in schools and churches all over the area as well as trips to Canada and Ireland. You don’t want to miss this.
Besides all that it’s a safe, warm environment – NO RAIN!
What more could you ask for, some candy? Well of course, every child, (sorry parents), goes home with a bag of candy.
Why not come and join us for a great time. We’ll be looking for you!
