Summer Camp Fundraiser

This year’s Yankee Candle Fundraiser (our effort to assist with District event expenses for Girls Ministry Clubs and for 2010 Summer Camp tuition) has already begun, but it’s not too late to get involved. This is a very easy and effective fundraiser. We are praying that many more will take advantage this year, enabling more of our children and youth to be blessed by these events. Last year’s effort was excellent, with 20 young people earning money towards camp and 51 girls going to their district events. Camp is a very powerful ministry; don’t let your child miss it.

Jr/Sr High Winter Retreat

Once again our Junior and Senior High Winter Retreat is nearly here. We have scheduled Camp-of-the-Woods, a state of the art facility in Speculator, NY. This fantastic weekend will take place February 5-7, and the cost is only $135. The registration deadline is January 31. You don’t want to miss this weekend packed full with sledding, ice skating, rock climbing, sports, team games and intense worship services. Our theme this year is “Forever” as we will be proclaiming God’s never ending faithfulness and love. Sign up in the Book Store today and be a part of this amazing weekend.
Parents, please note:  A Permission to Treat/Release form, available at the Hospitality Counter and good for the entire year, is required for this as well as all other “off campus” Revolution events.  Please fill one out now so we have it on file, even if your student is not attending the Winter Retreat.

FASTER THAN THE PASTOR

FASTER THAN THE PASTOR 5K FOR 10K RUN is taking place Friday, November 27 (the day after Thanksgiving), rain or shine. Registration begins at 9 a.m., start time is 10 a.m. Help raise funds for SPEED-THE-LIGHT, a student initiated ministry that provides much needed equipment to missionaries across the nation and in over 180 countries around the world. “The Way” Revolution Youth Album

It’s been been a while since Revolution Youth put out their last worship album “One Step Closer”… seven years to be exact. A few of the “veterans” from that debut project teamed up with the next generation of talented songwriters and musicians and self-produced/recorded “The Way,” a full length, studio recorded, youth driven worship album. The songs are fresh and passionate, and have a clear purpose to lift the name of Christ and inspire people to live their lives worthy of the calling they have received. The One Conference ‘09

Bethany Assembly of God in Agawam, MA will be hosting the first
Annual “One Conference” October 9-10, New England’s premier fall
youth conference. The conference will consist of workshops and services packed
full of drama, video, lights, passionate worship and powerful messages.

The One Conference welcomes Adam McCain as the guest speaker throughout the
weekend. Adam is the president of Global Youth Net, director of Christ for the
Nations and Lead Pastor at Church on the Hill in Cedar Hill, Texas. Worship will be
led by SPC Band, ICNC and Revolution Youth Bands.

The conference kicks of Friday night with a service at 6 p.m. with guest speaker
Adam McCain. Saturday morning at 11 a.m. will be another awesome service with
workshops Saturday afternoon on topics such as Leadership, Reaching your
campus, Worship leading, Being a woman of integrity, Creative arts, Staying relevant
in a changing culture and more. The leadership workshop for all youth pastors and
youth leaders attending will be led by Adam McCain. Finally the Conference will end
with an intense service Saturday night at 6 p.m.

The best part is that the entire conference is FREE of charge! We invite all youth
pastors and youth leaders to bring their students as we encounter God like never
before. We believe that God will unite us in “One” faith, love, and purpose. Included in

LATE NIGHT SKATING

Junior and Senior High students, vacation week is here, and we have another late night activity planned.  Following this week’s Wednesday night Revolution service we’re off to Interskate 91 for a night of crazy roller skating.  This event takes place from 9:30 p.m. until 12:15 a.m.  The cost is $10 and permission slips are required.
